How It Works

​A biogas plant can produce gas from organic material for cooking and lighting. The plant must be fed a mixture of dung and food waste mixed with water at the inlet. In the biodigester, bacteria produce biogas from the organic material. The gas is then led through pipes into the house. The remaining liquid can be used as fertilizer in the garden.
